Ace Visconti's Lore-Based Build
An asymmetrical horror game like Dead By Daylight isn't expected to have a lot of personality to its characters, since it's a game about murder. This game completely defies those expectations, however, with the amount of detail that has been put in every character's design and backstory.

Ace Visconti is among the first few original survivors that were released in the game, and he brings a lot to the table with his charming personality. He's a slippery character who will scam you and get away if you aren't careful whenever you're around him.

When extreme luck meets gambling addiction, an Ace Visconti is born. Even though money slips away too easily from his hands, he always finds the means to make it back. He lives by betting on different things, completely relying on his amazing luck. There are no situations this man can't get out of.
Even when he was about to be busted by a bunch of people he owed money to, he got away by entering the foggy world of The Entity. His devilish grin, combined with his charming looks, makes him very dangerous.
Much like every other survivor in the game, Ace joined Dead By Daylight with three of his own perks: Open-Handed, Up The Ante, and Ace In The Hole. These can be unlocked on all Survivors automatically, by upgrading him to prestige three.
Perk Synergies With Open-Handed

Being a selfish individual, Ace has quite a lot of perks that are based around supporting other perks. Open-Handed increases the aura-reading ability of the perks being used by you and your teammates. This perk doesn't have any aura-reading by itself.
It is important to note that Open-Handed does not stack with Wiretap. So, it doesn't increase the radius of the killer's aura read when you apply Wiretap on a generator. Behavior specifically went out of their way to remove this combination.
Being a perk that's completely useless by itself, it has a surprisingly high value if stacked with the right perk.
Bond | The Bond and Open-Handed combination is one of the most common in the game. Bond allows you to see survivor auras whenever they are 36 meters around you. This is increased to 52 meters with Open-Handed. This makes it quite powerful, because 52 meters is a lot — especially if you're on maps with multiple floors like The Game, Midwich Elementary School, or RPD. This combination can replace Empathy if you're trying to make a healing build, too. That way, you can see healthy survivors as well. |
---|---|
Buckle Up | This perk allows you to identify a Survivor's recovery progress when they are in the Dying state, if you're within a radius of 48 meters. This is increased to 64 meters with Open-Handed. Whenever you pick up a survivor from Dying state, both of you can see the killer's aura for ten seconds, allowing you to escape easily. |
Clairvoyance | After cleansing a totem, you can press the Active Ability button for ten seconds. This reveals the auras of generators, exit gates, hooks, chests, and the hatch in a 64-meter radius, increased to 80 meters with Open-Handed. This is almost half the map, unless you're on one of the bigger maps like Red Forest. |
Detective's Hunch | Whenever a generator is finished, you can see the auras of Generators, totems, and chests within 64 meters, or 80 meters with Open-Handed. If you finish a middle generator with this combination, you'll most likely see every totem on the map instantly. This can be helpful if the killer has a Hex perk. |
Left Behind | This perk highlights the aura of the Hatch in red when you're within a 32-meter range. This radius isn't big enough for the perk to give you too much value, considering that there aren't many incidents when you're the last Survivor remaining to get the Hatch. Open-Handed increases this to 48 meters, making it more than worth it. |
Perk Synergies With Up The Ante

Gamblers are known to have a trump card in their possession, allowing them to raise the stakes in a certain game. For each Survivor still alive in the trial, the entire team gets a three percent luck boost. This can be seen at the bottom-right of your screen with the symbol of this perk.
While luck doesn't have too much value in Dead By Daylight, it can lead to some satisfying plays if used correctly with different perk synergies.
Slippery Meat | Whenever you get hooked for the first time, you can attempt to escape from the hook three times. Without any help from the perk, there is a four percent chance of you unhooking yourself. With every attempt, you lose a little bar below your name when you're hooked, making your progress to the struggle phase faster. With Slippery Meat and Up The Ante, you can attempt an escape up to six times with a 16 percent luck value, if all the survivors are alive — which should be the case on your first hook. This can further be increased with different offerings that increase your luck. |
---|---|
Kindred | While this perk doesn't directly synergize with Up The Ante, it can be used to provide useful information to your team. If the killer is camping you, your entire team will be able to see their auras. Looking at the aura and the perk icon on their screen, most of them will assume that you can unhook yourself and punish the killer for camping by repairing generators. |
Inner Healing | When you get the potential ability to unhook yourself, you'd also want to heal yourself with ease. Inner Healing is one of the best self-healing perks, as long as you cleanse a totem before getting hooked for the first time. This can also be combined with Decisive Strike in case the killer finds you in the locker before you get healed. |
Breakdown | Do you know what's better than unhooking yourself? Removing the hook itself in the process. Whenever you get off a hook, Breakdown destroys the hook for three minutes. You can also see the killer for six seconds, making it easier to evade them. |
Perk Synergies With Ace In The Hole

When you have luck on your side, you don't need to worry about too much in your life. With this perk equipped, you're guaranteed to get one Very Rare add-on or lower when you plunder an item from a chest in a trial. Furthermore, there is also a 50 percent chance to get another Uncommon add-on.
Finally, whenever you leave the trial with an item, you will save the add-ons as well, which are usually taken away by default. The perks that can give you a higher Ace In The Hole value are:
Plunderer's Instinct | This perk allows you to see chest auras in a certain radius, and it also increases your chances of getting a better item. With Ace In The Hole, you can also get good add-ons for good items. |
---|---|
Appraisal | You can plunder a chest after it's opened with Appraisal, granting you double the number of items, and double the number of chances to get good items and add-ons. |
Residual Manifest And Pharmacy | Both of these perks get you a yellow flashlight or a green med-kit respectively. In case you're looking for one of these items, these can be combined with Up The Ante to get add-ons for them too. It is important to note here that this can sometimes be a disadvantage. If you get an add-on that decreases the charges of your green med-kit, you won't be able to get even one full heal with it. |

The lore-based build for Ace Visconti consists of Open-Handed, Lucky Break, Low Profile, and Self-Preservation. Here are the lore and personality traits allowing for this build to be perfect for him:
Open-Handed | Ace is known for being smart with his decisions. He can make his enemies think that they have him by revealing some of his secrets, and then completely evade them. |
Lucky Break | He's by far the luckiest Survivor on the entire roster. He can use his luck to save himself on multiple occasions. |
Low Profile | Ace is known for escaping situations he has no right in escaping. This is because of his ability to keep a Low Profile whenever it's required. |
Self-Preservation | Visconti will go to any lengths to protect himself, even if it means he has to benefit when harm comes to his teammates. |
